Commemorate Don Tristan De Luna's historical landing in Pensacola with food, celebration and fun. Families can watch historic reenactors, enjoy the children’s play area and stay for the big fireworks display over Downtown Pensacola. Thursday, August 13 5:15 p.m. Spanish Conquistadore statue dedication at Plaza de Luna at Palafox Pier 5:45 p.m. Live Entertainment Friday, August 14 7:00 p.m. Art auction featuring the ten historic paintings that Celebrate Pensacola commissioned artist-in-residence, Dean Quigley, to create. Saturday, August 15 8:30 a.m. Don Tristan de Luna Landing Reenactment and Catholic Mass at Beach led by Bishop Ricard on Pensacola Beach at Fort Pickens Gate Park 5-10 p.m. Downtown Pensacola Street Festival featuring bands, special events and fireworks 6-8 p.m. The Pensacola Celebrity Chefs - Spanish small plates for $4.50 7:30 p.m. Outdoor concert featuring Pensacola artists; Will Hedgecock, Gary Fields, the Pensacola Children's Chorus Ensemble and local gospel music followed by entertainment from a regional band. The evening will end with a fireworks display over Downtown Pensacola 7:30-10:30 p.m. Event sponsorships are available. Sponsors at the $450 level receive two passes to the Jackson’s Steakhouse VIP area. Sponsors at the $100 level receive one pass to the Seville Quarter VIP area. The passes are good the evening of August 15 and include hors d'oeuvres and open bar. In this final fund-raiser for Celebrate Pensacola, proceeds go toward the grand celebration, keeping the event free for the public.
