The goal of Celebrate Pensacola is to increase historical and educational awareness of Pensacola’s place in the Americas, to increase tourism, celebrate the founding richness of diversity and Spanish influences in this region and moreover, to share awareness of the impact of Tristan de Luna’s landing and colonization in 1559. Key committees are creating strategies for providing education, military commemorations, celebrating cultural heritage and legacies, supporting tourism, special events and religious programs.
