Fishing
The Pensacola Bay Area is an angler's paradise with the Gulf of Mexico, three bays and a river that is home to Florida's most diverse freshwater fish population. Charter a boat and head out into the Gulf of Mexico to one of our artificial reefs or bring your own rod and reel to the Pensacola Beach Pier, the longest in the Gulf of Mexico at 1,471 feet. For freshwater fishing, visit one of the lakes of the Blackwater River State Forest or Escambia River, which boasts 85 recorded species of fish, the richest variety in North America.
