Mr. Big and the Rhythm Sisterz will have music selections fromnew chart busters to jazz all rolled together to the delight of all ages. Located in the beautiful Gulfside Pavilion overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, this twenty-two week series features regional artists performing a wide variety of music. Fireworks are over Santa Rosa Sound, just offshore from Quietwater Beach. The best viewing spots would be from the Portofino Boardwalk or Quietwater Beach .

The civilian air show will feature 24 planes and a Saturday night concert. The shows will feature jets along with OTTO, the performing helicopter. Red Star and the Dragon, two warbird jets perform a good and evil dogfight show. Others acts will include: Skip Stewart flying aerobatics in a bi-plane; Kevin Coleman performing in a one-of-a-kind Extra 300SHP considered one of the highest performance airplanes in the world; Gary Ward performing in a high energy monoplane; and Lima Lima, a six-aircraft, civilian formation aerobatic team. Atlanta-based R&B group, the Tams, will perform a Bands on the Beach-like concert at 7 p.m. in the Gulfside Pavilion on Casino Beach. (P.S. don't forget the sunscreen & the $1 for the toll bridge.)

The 3.1 mile race to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters is sponsored by the Capt'n Fun Runners. The course begins at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center, and finishes on Pensacola Beach at the Visitors Information Center. The race starts at 7:30 a.m., and free bus transportation from Pensacola Beach to the race starting line will be provided from 6 a.m. - 7 a.m. A post-race party will be held at Capt'n Fun Beach Club on the Portofino Boardwalk. With a stroke of a brush and a pop of a cork, Pensacola Beach will transform into an artist's village for the annual Art and Wine Weekend. Boasting more than 40 painters, potters and creative types of all sorts, the event will showcase artists throughout the weekend while patrons watch art demonstrations, shop and sample wines from across the globe.
