30th Annual Pensacola Crawfish Festival

The Pensacola Crawfish Festival presented by Coastal Bank and Trust will bring a taste of Louisiana right here to Pensacola Bay with a wide variety of Cajun fare such as crawfish poboys, crawfish pies, and over 16,000 pounds of boiled crawfish. Other festival favorites include chicken baskets, red beans and rice, gyros, bloomin' onions, kettle corn, apple dumplins and Deep Fried Brownies. Alcholic and non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

41th Annual Fiesta 10K and 5K Run/Walk
7:30 a.m.
The 10K participants will begin at Pensacola State College, while the 5K runners will start from Scott Street and 12th Avenue. Both races will finish at Seville Square. Those who run in the race will receive free admission to the Pensacola Crawfish Festival on Saturday, May 3. Come Eat, Run and Relax with some Cajun flair!

FREE lunch begins at 11:30 a.m., hunt begins at 2 p.m.
Children 10 and under hunt for coins to turn in for treasures while learning about Pensacolas rich history. Children enjoyed carnival games, face painting, activities, and musical entertainment. There are gifts for every child who registers. Registered children are also placed in a drawing for several grand prizes including a bicycle, Walmart gift cards and a Nintendo Wii!!

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and judging at 2 p.m. The competition is free and more than $1,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded. The public is invited to vote for their favorite sculptures in the Peoples Choice Awards.

Emmanuel Sheppard & Condon Fiesta Days Celebration
Begins at 7 p.m.
The Emmanuel Sheppard and Condon Fiesta Days Celebration kicks off the 65th annual Fiesta Celebration with hundreds of guests in attendance. Historic Seville Quarter comes alive with entertainment, decorations and delicious food in five rooms, each saluting our history under the flags of the five governments that have flown over our city. Be sure to join the Surrender of the City at 7:30 p.m. Local dignitaries will surrender the City of Pensacola and its citizens to DeLuna and his Queen for the Fiesta season.

Spanish explorer Don Tristan de Luna led a voyage to America in 1559. He exhibited deep faith in something higher than himself in leading this group. The Fiesta celebration continues with this traditional ecumenical service. The public is invited to attend.

DeLuna Landing Ceremony
Begins at 3 p.m.
Under orders from King Phillip II of Spain over 450 years ago, conquistador Don Tristan DeLuna sailed into the beautiful waters surrounding what is now Pensacola, Florida. He claimed the land he found in the name of Spain, and Pensacola became the first European settlement in the United States. The DeLuna Landing Ceremony is a lighthearted reenactment of what might have happened when Don Tristan DeLuna landed.

Fiesta Beach Bash
3 - 6 p.m.
All spectator boats and passengers are invited. Boaters may anchor behind the restaurant to enjoy live entertainment, drink specials and cash prizes for the best decorated sport or sports team boat. Judging will take place as boats pass under the Bob Sikes Bridge during the Boat Parade. Winners will be announced during the bash and must be present to win.

All Krewes are invited and the festivities will include live music, Krewe skits/dances, and a presentation of Krewe royalty at the Hadji Shrine Temple. Tickets are $35 and include heavy hors d'oeuvres. Krewes, VIPs and other special guests will enjoy the festivities of the evening as we honor their royalty along with our very own DeLuna and Queen.

Don McCloskey Seafood 5k Run/Walk
Participants will again be using the fast, new course that will run through Historic Downtown Pensacola around the Pensacola Seafood Festival. The course is both runner and spectator friendly. The Pensacola Seafood Festival Don McCloskey 5k Run/Walk is sponsored by the Pensacola Runners Association and Fiesta of Five Flags. This run kicks off the fall racing season in Pensacola and is a popular element of the Pensacola Seafood Festival.
