Boo Walker featuring Hedges Family Estate, Red Mountain, Washington State Boo Walker began his career in Nashville as a banjoist and songwriter for the avant-garde punchgrass band, The Biscuit Boys. Some hand problems knocked him out of the game, and he stumbled into a position with Automated Trading Desk, a short-term equity-trading firm. To feed his ravenous muse, he began writing his first novel, Lowcountry Punch. After six years of the Wall Street thing, Boo decided it was time to end his sedentary, computer-driven lifestyle. He moved clear across the country into a doublewide trailer situated on five acres of Malbec vines just down the road from Hedges Family Estate on Red Mountain in Washington State. The Hedges family took him in and taught him the art of farming and the old-world philosophies of wine. He now travels North America peddling the familys wines.

Drew Flanigan featuring Spain and Folio Fine Wines Flanigans passion for wine began while he was an undergraduate at the University of Alabama. While waiting tables, he had a table order for a bottle of 1979 Chateau Margaux. Not only did they tip well, they left him half a glass of wine. He was hooked after that experience and that led him to a career in the wine industry. He has spent the last fifteen years as a student of wine and the wine industry working for Mortons Steakhouse and Shulas on the Beach in Florida as well as at Grand Vin, a wine bar in Key West. For the past seven years, he has represented a number of wines including the diverse, world-class portfolio of Folio Fine Wines.

Don Elton Lott featuring Michael David Winery, Lodi, California Although born in Central Florida, Don Elton Lott was raised locally. He studied at the University of West Florida and worked his way through college by being employed in local restaurants. He found his passion for wine while managing a wine bar and restaurant in Hendersonville, Tenn. He worked with us at the Fish House a number of years ago and has found his way back home. For the past two years, he has served as the wine director of the Fish House and Jacksons Steakhouse. As anyone who has talked to him can tell you, he is both knowledgeable and passionate about the wine world. He is currently studying for his next level certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers, having recently been awarded his first-level certification with the court in October. Be sure to stop him next time youre in and ask him about our wonderful wines and what is in store for the future.
