St. Michael's Cemetery is an eight acre green space in the heart of Pensacola. It is one of the oldest extant cemeteries in the State of Florida, officially designated a cemetery by the Spanish government in 1807. The earliest families of Colonial Pensacola are buried within the gates. The cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is an archaeological site registered with the Florida State Site File.
