The Crowne Plaza has a rich heritage dating back to 1912. The hotel is located on the site of the historic L&N railroad passenger depot, which has been restored and now houses our lobby, “1912” the Restaurant, CAVU Lounge, Pandora’s Skin & Beauty Studio, the Tea Emporium Gift Shop, a fitness center, and meeting facilities. The depot was built in 1912 by L&N construction engineers. After serving the Pensacola rail industry for 58 years, the last train rolled out of the station in April 1971 and in 1978 was listed in the National Register of Historic Places as an important architectural landmark.
We are pleased to offer 210 fully renovated rooms. Each room contains either two queen beds or one king bed. The beds feature the Crowne Plaza’s “seven layers of comfort” as part of our Sleep Advantage Program. This program was implemented by the hotel to ensure our guests get a full nights rest. Each guest will receive a Sleep Advantage Package includes lavender spray, ear plugs, eye mask, and 20 tips for getting a good nights rest. Our meeting facilities are truly one of a kind and are located in the historic part of the hotel. Our meeting facilities include the Grand Ballroom, which can be subdivided into three sections, as well as five breakout rooms. On the second floor of the old train depot we have several smaller meeting rooms and an outdoor seasonally-heated pool.
The Crowne Plaza Pensacola Grand Hotel is Pensacola’s premier hotel. Along with everything else the hotel has to offer, our location is unbeatable. The Crowne Plaza is located in the heart of historic downtown, and minutes from beautiful Pensacola Beach. We are confident that our guests will fall in love with everything Pensacola and the Crowne Plaza has to offer.
