Governor's Conference on Tourism Register now for the annual conference August 17-19 in Orlando. Increase your knowledge on travel trends, hear advice on sustainability and social innovation and network with tourism partners across the state. The Pensacola Bay Area CVB is a finalist for Visit Florida’s prestigious Flagler Awards. Sales Updates
Convention and Corporate Sales Patti is currently working on booking trips for next year. She’s working on leads from Florida General Baptist Convention, which would bring in 1,500 room nights, the WSA Competition Travel, with 3,000 potential nights and the Adventist Medical Evangelism Networks, which would bring in 240 room nights. Patti will also be attending the Chuck Cook Tradeshow in Tallahassee on August 14. The tradeshow has been successful in the past, with 360 meeting planners and executive directors in attendance. It’s time to vote for ConventionSouth’s Best of the Best. Vote for Pensacola businesses and events to make our area stand out for meeting planners across the country. Meetings to Note
HRT Notice The next Hospitality Roundtable Luncheon will be held Tuesday, August 19 at 11:30 a.m. at Jackson’s, 400 S. Palafox Place. The cost of the luncheon is $12 for HRT members, $20 for non-members. Payment should be made at the door with checks made payable to Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. No invoicing will be permitted. Laura Hill of the Fiesta of Five Flags will discuss upcoming events. Since we must guarantee reservations, if you RSVP and do not attend, you will be billed for the cost of your lunch.
