Pensacola is proud to call itself home to the Blue Angels, officially known as the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron. The Blues formally perform two shows a year in Pensacola, but visitors can get a close-up glimpse by attending their weekly practices at Pensacola NAS from March through November. Bleachers are available for the first 1,000 spectators or you can bring a lawn chair. Spectators will have the opportunity to meet the pilots during an autograph session following select practices.
The Blue Angels practice over Naval Air Station Pensacola at 8:30 AM. The Museum of Naval Aviation at NAS Pensacola has a viewing area for visitors to watch the team practice. The team visits the museum to answer questions and sign autographs after Wednesday practices. Wednesday practices are highlighted red below.
