Do you scuba dive? If you answered yes then check out what Pensacola has to offer.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Captain Andy Ross with Niuhi Dive Charters about diving in Pensacola. He talked about shipwreck trails, the largest artificial reef in the world, spearfishing for lionfish and more. After listening, you'll understand why Pensacola should be on your diving bucket list. Here're five reasons you should come scuba dive in our fabulous destination.

#1 Many dive sites

The Pensacola Bay area is home to many shipwrecks, artificial reefs, and natural bottom diving. The Pensacola Bay Area has five sites included on the Florida Panhandle Shipwreck Trail and is home to the Oriskany, the world's largest artificial reef.

#2 Great fishing and spearfishing

Pensacola has countless fishing opportunities; spearfishing, deep-sea fishing, from the beach, from a pier and much more. One opportunity with Niuhi Charters is spearfishing for lionfish.

#3 Diving for all skill levels

Diving in the Gulf of Mexico diving opportunities for all different levels of experience.

#4 Dive all year

The benefit of living in the south is you can dive year round. Andy does mention though that fall is a pretty amazing time to scuba dive in this area.

#5 Best Beaches

After diving some downtime on the beach is a must. From Perdido Key to Pensacola Beach, our sugar-white beaches are pretty amazing.
