Are you daydreaming of the beach? Don't you think it's time to cash in on that paid time off you've worked so hard to earn? The beach waiting, pack your bags and get ready to kick back, relax and sink your toes in our sugar-white sand beaches?
To further convince you, I've put together five reasons why you should choose to visit the Pensacola Bay Area.
1. Miles and Miles of Sugar-white Sand Beaches
We have miles of sugar-white sand beaches for you to sink your toes in. From our award-winning Gulf Islands National Seashore to public beach areas, you're sure to find a place to relax and take it all in. I love our beaches; I'm certain you'll feel just the same.
2. A Destination with Historic Heritage
Did you know that Pensacola was the first European settlement in the United States? In Pensacola, you'll get to explore history from the beach to Downtown Pensacola.
To start your historical journey, you can start on the beach at Fort Pickens. In Fort Pickens, you'll get to explore forts that were completed in 1834 and along the way you'll enjoy some beautiful scenic views. After enjoying the beach, head Downtown and visit the Historic Pensacola Village. In the village, you'll love learning about early Pensacola living and the history of Pensacola. Next stop, the Naval Air Station where you can explore the National Naval Aviation Museum and then climb to the top of a Historic Pensacola Lighthouse for some pretty breathtaking views.
3. A Seafood Paradise
What's a trip to the beach without enjoying fresh seafood? We have so many good seafood restaurants to pick from, just check out our list. While visiting, make sure to visit Joe Patti's seafood, it's a great experience and a great place to pick up some fresh seafood to take home for cooking.
4. Outdoor Water Fun
I grew up in Pensacola and if there is one thing that I enjoy most about the area is the water. You'll either find me either surfing, paddleboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling or just enjoying the clear water of the Gulf. The possibilities are endless, take a look at at the adventures awaiting you here.
5. The Largest National Naval Aviation Museum
Did you know that we are home to the world's largest Naval Aviation museum? The museum has over 150 restored aircraft and is rich in the history of Naval Aviation. I always enjoy exploring this museum, and I think you will too.
In addition to these five reasons to visit Pensacola, there are so many other reasons which you'll discover as you explore our website. I think the only problem you'll find is you'll want more PTO to experience more of our beautiful beaches and city.
