Sweat. Some of us like it, some of us don’t. What we can’t deny though is that we need to do it from time to time. Whether you’re looking to relieve a little stress after that business meeting or you’re on a strict workout plan, we have options for you when vacationing in the Pensacola Bay area.
Breathe Yoga and Wellness Center
Well if that doesn’t just sound like a breath of fresh air! Breath Yoga and Wellness Center not only teaches yoga on the mat but off the mat as well. They offer massage and bodywork, life coaching and holistic counseling for those looking to take a mental health day. Inside the studio, you’ll find yoga classes for all levels, hot yoga, aerial yoga, restorative yoga, Abhaya yoga, gentle yoga, yin yoga and just about any other yoga you can name (did anyone else just imagine Bubba from Forrest Gump)! They have several locations so don’t be afraid to try a class! First-time visits are only $5 and after that drop-in classes are $12.
Pure Barre Pensacola
Pure Barre is a full-body workout that concentrates on low-impact, isometric movements. I love this type of workout because I have a slew of old injuries and I can absolutely thrive in these classes! First timers can expect loud music and a lot of sweat. The best thing about Pure Barre is that your first class is free! After that, drop in classes are $15.

Title Boxing Club
For the hyperactive person, title boxing is 60 minutes of high-intensity anger management counseling. Kidding, but you do get to hit stuff. Don’t fret if you’ve never thrown a punch. The instructors teach you the technique and even help wrap your hands. Your first workout is free, after that drop-in classes are $25.
Pilates is a conditioning routine that improves muscle control, flexibility, coordination, strength and tone. Typically, specially designed spring resistance equipment is used. Pure Pilates doesn’t just offer Pilates courses, they offer aerial yoga, yogalates, piyo and suspension training. This class is for someone looking to combine the machine work of the gym with similar elements to Pure Barre. Drop in classes range from $12 to $28 depending on which course you take.

Alpha Omega Sports Performance / CrossFit AOP
CrossFit is not for the faint of heart. These workouts consist of varied functional movements (pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) and are executed at a high intensity. It may sound difficult now but just about everyone can do it. You won’t find machines; you’ll find large open spaces and equipment that moves. This allows participants the option to change paces and weights to fit what is right for them. If you’re an out-of-towner looking to join in, classes are $25. If you're worried about what to expect, don't be. They post the next days workout each evening on their Facebook page. And if you've never done it before they offer a free introductury class!
