If there’s one thing that puts a little pep in my step and gets me feeling excited, it’s shopping for new clothes. It’s the same feeling I’ve had since grade school, when I would eagerly wait for the first day of school so I could wear my brand-new outfit — complete with bright white sneakers, because you can’t forget those!

I still get this giddy feeling every time I go shopping, which is a frequent happening these days. Sorry not sorry! There’s just something about flaunting new threads.

When looking for that new addition to my never-ending closet, I gravitate toward pieces that are unique. Something not many other girls will have. That’s essential. Born and raised in Pensacola, I’m definitely a shop local kind of gal. It’s a double whammy. You can find those must-have, one-of-a-kind pieces and support your neighbors too.

I’ve rounded up my top five favorite unique boutiques in Pensacola, specializing in all things style.

SoBo Boutique

Inspired by two trendy styles, southern and bohemian, SoBo (yep, that’s where the name comes from) is a women's boutique offering an array of eclectic clothing, jewelry and accessories. From Easter dresses to shorts for a weekend at the beach, SoBo gives that ultimate feminine flare, without sacrificing comfort. My favorite pieces are their flowy dresses with beautiful lace details. The best part: SoBo is high quality AND easy on the wallet!

To say I love this shop is a complete understatement. I’ve known the owner, Alicia Taylor, and her sweet family for years, which makes for a total plus when shucking over my credit card.

The title says it all! This boutique will definitely make everyone envy your style. They have an impressive selection of merchandise from top brands including every Southern gal’s favorite: Lilly Pulitzer. Envie also is home to brands like Trina Turk, Kendra Scott, Free People, Vineyard Vines, Southern Tide and so much more. Can you say heaven?

The Envie vibe inspires and fulfills both locals’ and Pensacola Beach tourists’ love for fashion, helping to make an individualized statement with every shopper. They also have adorable desk accessories and the cutest coastal-chic gifts. There’s is something for everyone!

Looking for something more coastal and beachy? Bluetique has a more laid back style for women and children. Their clothing is elegant, fun and full of seasonal apparel, accessories and jewelry. Anything from work-wear to distressed denim, I love the versatile selection and bright colors in their shop.

Bluetique Pensacola

I’ve also been able to find gifts for girlfriends there too, including necklaces and a fabulous selection of handbags. Cross-body bags are a must for those on-the-go gals and moms, but they don’t have to be stale. Bluetique can hook you up! Located in historic Downtown Pensacola just steps away from Seville Square, it’s perfect for a quick lunch and stroll to shop the afternoon away.

Located in the heart of Downtown Pensacola on the one and only Palafox Street, Indigeaux is a staple for the boutique lover. Indigeaux is unique in their Southern charm and ability to carry designer brands including Dolve Vita, Jack Rogers, Kendra Scott and more. And can we talk about their denim selection?! Definitely a highlight of the store. They have an array of quality denim ranging from boyfriend to bootcut, and the best brands including Joe’s Jeans, Paige Denim and DL1961. Indigeaux offers an upscale taste on an average gal’s budget.

The best thing about Indigeaux, making it even more unique, is their online shopping experience. Yep, it just got a lot more dangerous for that wallet ladies. Even your friends in another state can shop your favorite finds.

I walk into this boutique with my ears singing! They have just the right style mix of simple with southern classics, and for all sizes too. La-Di-Da proudly carry sizes small through 3X in women's clothing. It doesn’t stop there though. You can even shop for your little ones with their amazing selection of trendy children's clothing too. Every time I shop at La-Di-Da, the staff is unbelievably friendly and full of the best customer service. I don’t know about y’all, but great service is key when I’m shopping.

Whether shopping for you or for a gift, Pensacola has a spread of boutiques to meet every woman’s unique style and need. And with spring coming up, what better reason to shop? Bring on the sandals and sundresses!
