In a city so deeply rooted in military history, Veterans Day is a holiday that we take to heart very seriously. For those looking to show their support this Veterans Day for men and women who have served in the military and fought for America’s freedom, the Pensacola Bay Area has several events and ceremonies.

Veterans Day Music Extravaganza Cabaret

To celebrate and honor veterans, Banks Enterprise presents the Veterans Day Music Extravaganza Cabaret. Beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, concertgoers can enjoy the blues.

Pensacola Veterans Day Parade

The Gulf Coast Veterans Advocacy Council will present the 2017 Pensacola Veterans Day Parade at 9 a.m. Beginning at the intersection of Spring and West Main streets in downtown Pensacola, the parade will follow a 1.7-mile route to Veterans Memorial Park on Bayfront Parkway. Participants will include a variety of civic, military, business and veteran groups.

Veterans Memorial Park and Wall South

Following the parade downtown, the Veterans Memorial Park Foundation will host a special ceremony in observance of Veterans Day. Beginning at 11 a.m. keynote speaker Vice Admiral Jerry Unruh, USN Ret. will deliver remarks. The service commemorates the 25th anniversary of the dedication of the Vietnam War Memorial and Wall South. A large crowd of citizens, community leaders, Veterans organizations and military personnel are expected to participate. The Pensacola Children’s Chorus will be part of the ceremony, performing patriotic favorites.

Pensacola Beach Veterans Day Parade

The twenty-ninth annual Pensacola Beach Veterans Day Parade and Ceremonies will be Saturday, November 11 commencing at 2 p.m. Once again, the Pensacola Beach Elk’s Lodge is coordinating the parade which travels west along Via de Luna from Avenida 10 to the Gulfside Pavilion. The colors will be presented upon arrival.

Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow

The highly touted U.S. Navy Blue Angels will close out the 2017 season during Veterans Day weekend. Presented by Pensacola's Kia Autosport, the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show is the flourish on an exciting air show season featuring the U.S. Navy's elite flight demonstration team.

This year features the return of the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs parachute team, Shockwave Jet Truck and the best military and civilian aircraft performances in the country.

Pensacola Civic Band: Salute to Veterans

This veterans day, in partnership with the FooFoo Festival, the Pensacola Saenger Theatre would like to pay tribute to veterans. Join them for “Pensacola’s Salute to Veterans,” a concert event featuring all branches of the US Armed Forces and music by the Pensacola Civic Band. All veterans are invited to attend this concert free of charge. Free ticket must be picked up at Saenger Box Office.

Free entry to State Parks

To honor veterans, entry into Florida's state parks will be fee-free on Saturday, November 11 for Veterans Day for everyone. User fees for camping, canoe and kayak rentals and other services still apply. Pensacola Bay Area State Parks include:
