Cinco de Mayo Festival brings authentic Mexican
celebration to Plaza de Luna

PENSACOLA, Fla. (April 30, 2018) – This Cinco de Mayo (May 5), the Gulf Coast will have the rare opportunity to experience a tribute to two of the most beloved Mexican-American musical artist, Selena and Jenni Rivera on the same stage.

The festivities start at 2 p.m. at Plaza de Luna. Admission is $10 starting at 3 p.m.

Aixa Fernandez’s presents a heartwarming impersonation of Tejano music superstar, Selena Quintanilla. Simona Beltran also lights up the stage and hearts for fans of the banda and ranchera musician Jenni Rivera. Both Quintanilla and Rivera were tragically taken in the prime of their lives and musical careers, but their millions of adoring fans assure that their legends live on.

Selena’s brother, AB Quintanilla performed with the Kumbia King All-Stars at the Community Maritime Park at the 2012 Latino Festival.

Festival entertainment also includes music by Los Nuevos Alegres de la Sierra, Shelah Venegas, AJ Styles and Jay el Rebelde. The festivities also include traditional folkloric dance and mariachi performances. The stage is managed by DJ Roel and DJ Pablo who specialize in Mexican and Latino music.

A variety of authentic Mexican food, drinks, margaritas and beer will also be available till the festival ends at 9 p.m.

The Cinco de Mayo Festival is organized by La Costa Latina Newspaper, Triple M Entertainment and sponsored by University of West Florida John C Pace Symposium Series and Gulf Power.
