Most locals know Bartram Park is located off Bayfront Parkway but know little about the man for which the park is named. Michael Hartsaw will introduce us to William Bartram's experience with Native Americans.

"In 1775, when Bartram visited Pensacola, he noted: “This city,
delightfully situated superior to any other port in this province, has excellent
ground for anchorage with some spots of good high land. There are several
hundred habitations in Pensacola and the Governor’s palace is a large stone
building ornamented with a tower built by the Spaniards.”
Nearly 200 years ago, William Bartram exquisitely documented
the flora and fauna of the southeastern United States."
