Details

On November 11, tiny Mercury will pass between the Earth and the sun, observable as a small black
spot on the giant disk of the sun. This event, next occurring in our area in 2049, is easily observed with
proper telescopes which we will set up outside the MESS Hall. Inside on that day we will have a Curiosity
Day from 10 AM - 4 PM, featuring hands on activities about space exploration. November 11 is also
Veterans Day, a school holiday when we offer free admission for active duty and military veterans.
