Books By the Bay, a free outdoor festival, offers the opportunity for adults and youth to mingle with local authors, meet national bestselling authors and literary experts, and interact characters in costume while they shop for books. The one-day outdoor event focuses on literary appreciation and features a wide range of literary genres from children’s books to memoirs, romance to steampunk, and nonfiction to historical fiction to graphic novels.
