Summer Music Series

A summer evening in Pensacola is a visit to paradise – warm breezes, water views and brilliant sunsets melting into moonlit waves under starry skies. What better way to enjoy them than with free music and friends?

Bands on the Beach

Grab your beach chair and cooler and join us every Tuesday from April to October for smooth grooves and good times at Pensacola Beach’s popular outdoor summer concert series: Bands on the Beach. The free outdoor events feature a lineup of performers for every musical taste.

Located at the beautiful Gulfside Pavilion overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, the series features regional artists performing a wide variety of music. Concerts start at 7 p.m. The event attracts thousands of fans throughout the season.

Folks of all ages set up their lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets. Heck, some folks go all out with tables, candles and full meals while enjoying the music. Hands down, the venue’s beach backdrop is unparalleled.

For those who don’t give a flip-flop, break out your dancing shoes (really, just take them off because you’re dancing on sand) and get ready for a great lineup of good vibrations on the sugar-white sands while you watch the sun set on Pensacola Beach.

Pets and glass containers are prohibited. For more information, visit the website.

Blues on the Bay

The waterfront Community Maritime Park Hunter Amphitheater at Pensacola’s Community Maritime Park is home to Blues on the Bay throughout the summer. Concerts are held on Sunday nights when our Blue Wahoos baseball team is not playing a home game at the park.

With lush green grass, walking paths and a playground, the park is the perfect place for an evening picnic with great sunset views of Pensacola Bay and downtown.

Concerts are family-friendly and concessions are available. Bring coolers, blankets and lawn chairs but leave glass containers and pets at home.

Concerts begin at 6 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Pets and glass containers are prohibited.

Songwriter Series at the Point

If you enjoy original music and hearing the stories behind the songs, Sandy Roots Songwriter Series is your music destination in Perdido Key.

The monthly event at The Point Restaurant showcases six songwriting artists each session: three locals and three regional or national touring songwriters with a Nashville hit songwriter featured quarterly. Local singer/songwriters will have the opportunity to showcase their talents with the best singer/songwriters from around the country.

The concerts take place in The Point’s Courtyard, under a canopy of live oak trees.

The Songwriter Series is free to attend and takes place the third Tuesday of each month beginning at 5 p.m. Each event will be followed by a songwriter’s all-original open mic beginning at 9 p.m.
