Symphony Sparks & Stars
Free Annual Event Features Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, U.S. Marine Corps Presentation of Colors, U.S. Navy Fly-Over, and Fireworks
This Fourth of July, come celebrate our country, community, and military with a free concert featuring the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra! Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the exciting, family-friendly Symphony, Sparks, & Stars” show on beautiful Pensacola Bay, presented by Attorney Peter J. Mougey of Levin Papantonio Rafferty law firm.
The concert is part of a full day of Independence Day fun at Pensacola's Community Maritime Park and along the city’s vibrant, downtown waterfront at the Hunter Amphitheater. A special thanks to the City of Pensacola for providing the use of the Hunter Amphitheater.
Celebrating in the True Spirit of Independence Day
As tradition holds, this exciting and family-friendly concert kicks off at 7:30pm with the United States Marine Corps’ presentation of colors, followed by the national anthem and the United States Navy jets screaming over the bay for a fantastic fly-over. Following the flyover, the Pensacola Symphony will launch into a patriotic performance, which includes the battle hymns for each branch of military service to recognize those who have served our country. The evening concludes with the 33rd annual Sertoma fireworks—the largest fireworks display on the Gulf Coast!
Mougey first approached Pensacola Symphony Orchestra in 2015 about playing an open concert for the community on the Fourth of July. The event grew to become a tradition—and an important part of Pensacola’s annual Independence Day celebrations.
“Symphony Sparks & Stars highlights all the great assets of our city—our military, waterfront, and rich culture,” Mougey said. “I am excited to be a part of making this concert a Gulf Coast tradition over the past seven years, and Levin Papantonio Rafferty law firm is committed to making this a fun, patriotic event for the community.”
