Toast of the Coast: "Hook and Cook"

Back by popular demand - our Toast of the Coast series is back! This year we have taken the series to a whole new level, incorporating our local neighborhood experts! Each event in the series will feature a hands-on demonstration from a pro, with fantastic food and beverage pairings. These events present a wonderful opportunity for an up-close-and-personal, interactive experience with some of the best, all within a fun atmosphere on The Fish House Deck overlooking Pensacola Bay. Each event begins at 5:30 p.m. rain or shine! Event cost is $55 per person plus tax and gratuity. Thursday, April 17: Hook and Cook

Living here on the Gulf Coast, we are so incredibly fortunate to have a plethora of local fish in our waters. Here at The Fish House we are proud to serve the freshest fish available. This class will feature Christian Wagley from Healthy Gulf whose mission is to collaborate with and serve communities who love the Gulf by providing the research, communications, and coalition-building tools needed to support a thriving ecosystem that includes the Gulf’s natural resources and, just as importantly, the people, communities, and cultures that depend on those resources.

In his demonstration, Executive Chef Jason Hughes, will feature all local fish and talk about our local waters as well as the fish that swim our waterways throughout the year. Once they have been hooked, chef will show you how to clean, fillet and prepare the fish with a hands-on demonstration. Featured dishes will include Gulf seafood ceviche and chips,parmesan grouper, seared red snapper, and redfish Lafayette. Classic panhandle beverages will accompany the fish-tasting, including a locally brewed Pensacola Bay Brewery Florida Citrus Ale, Grayton 30A Beach Blonde Ale and our Florida Sunrise Cocktail. Participants will take home a floating Fish House key chain, perfect to keep on the boat!
