WHAT: Hurricane Michael has passed through Northwest Florida. In the aftermath, Pensacola is open and has hotel availability for anyone in need. The hurricane made landfall over Mexico Beach, Florida. Surrounding areas including Bay, Gulf, and Franklin Counties are clearing the way for first responders and ask for no citizen traffic.

WHERE: The Pensacola International Airport is in standard operating mode. Please check directly with your airline regarding all flight information. For those driving to the region, please check fl511.com/ for road conditions and fhwa.dot.gov/trafficinfo/ for national traffic and road closure information.

“We’re fortunate that Pensacola remained nearly untouched by Hurricane Michael,” Pensacola International Airport Director Dan Flynn said. “At this time, we’re welcoming guests to the area. Please check directly with your airline regarding all flight information.”
