Pensacola, Fla. (Thursday, June 6) - Visit Pensacola is excited to announce a new non-stop flight between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Pensacola International Airport (PNS) on United Airlines beginning today, June 6, 2019. Whether it’s for business or pleasure, the new seasonal non-stop flight is anticipated to further establish Pensacola as a sought-after travel destination featuring rich history, a vibrant arts scene and 18 miles of sugar-white sand and emerald green waters along the Florida Gulf Coast.

“We are excited that United Airlines is opening the door for even more convenient Pensacola travel so visitors can enjoy everything our great city has to offer, from beautiful beaches and waterways to our rich history and vibrant downtown. The addition of non-stop flights from Newark to Pensacola International Airport is a testament to the continued and growing interest nationwide in Pensacola as a top destination. We especially look forward to introducing new visitors from the New York City metro and welcoming previous guests back again,” said Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson.

The Pensacola Bay Area had more than 2.3 million travelers visit last year, generating nearly $840 million for the community’s economy. The new United Airlines flight offers a new and convenient travel option for first-time and repeat visitors to Pensacola.

“United Airlines has made a significant investment in Pensacola by adding this non-stop flight option from the New York City area,” said Visit Pensacola President Steve Hayes. “Pensacola’s reputation has grown exponentially in recent years as a travel destination for not only sun and sand, but for meetings and group travel as well. Having this new option to get to Pensacola from the Big Apple in less than three hours will further establish our city as a significant destination for leisure and business travel.”

United Airlines will operate two flights daily June 6 through September 8: one departs Newark at 1:00 pm (EST) and arrives in Pensacola at 2:30 pm (CST); the second departs Pensacola at 3:25 pm (CST) and arrives in Newark at 7:00 pm (EST).
