USS Tripoli Commissioning

The Commissioning of the USS Tripoli is expected to take place in Pensacola, Fla. Early summer 2020. Currently we’re estimating over 6,000 people for the event including the ship’s crewmembers, their family members, guests and dignitaries. At this time, we’re surveying lodging availability for late May to mid-June. Please send your information to Lori Coppels.

Skilled Students Ahead!

It is hard to believe that five months have already gone by since Pensacola hosted thousands of students, parents and teachers for the Florida SkillsUSA student competitions. From automotive, animation and architectural drafting, to cosmetology, cybersecurity and web design, these students challenge each other’s ability at mastering skills needed for their career of interest.

If you would like to get involved and see these students in action, consider volunteering as a competition judge or become a sponsor and showcase your company on the competition floor. To learn more, contact Lori Coppels at SkillsUSA competitions will be held in Pensacola on April 20- 21, 2020.
