Pensacola, FL, (Jan. 5, 2017) – Visit Pensacola is excited to announce several events happening in their visitor centers.

“Let’s be honest, when’s the last time you stopped into the Visitor Information Center? It’s been a long time, if ever, right?! Here’s the thing, our VIC Centers are excellent in terms of beautiful displays, as well as, a treasure trove for all the great happenings in and around Pensacola.

"The creation of VIC In-House Events will showcase our Visitor Information Centers, encourage local participation, and promote business partners, Director of Sales and Servies Jennifer Jackson Keating said. "By hosting engaging VIC events, our Visitor Information Centers will become a greater asset to our tourists and a resource to re-connect with our locals.”

Visit Pensacola is kicking off the new year with in-house events such as “Coffee with the Artist,” Celebrity book signing, pop-up opera performances, and a new activity station just to name a few. These events will be held year-round, and offer a new perspective for visitors to enjoy while getting information about our area. The Visitor Information Center events will be free of charge and will rotate between the Pensacola and Perdido Key Visitor Center locations.

In Pensacola, the first event, “Coffee with the Artist,” featuring Heather Mitchell, will take place at the Pensacola Visitors Information Center on January 17th, 2017 from 1:30pm-2:30 pm. Complimentary coffee will be served as guests view live sketch art with Heather.

In Perdido, the first event, “Coffee with the Artist,” featuring Lyn Gentry, will take place at the Perdido Visitors Information Center on January 24th, 2017 from 1:30pm-3:30 pm. Complimentary coffee will be served, and guests will have the opportunity to discuss glass art with Lyn.

For more details about Heather and all the new events visit, www.visitpensacola.com. It’s going to be an exciting new year at Visit Pensacola, and we are looking forward to engaging more with our visitors and re-connecting with our locals!
