Ascension Sacred Heart opened a new Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) in Perdido Key (13139 Sorrento Road) on December 3, 2025. This state-of-the-art facility brings expanded access to high-quality emergency care, closer to where patients live, work and play. The roughly 11,000-square-foot emergency room includes two triage areas, one trauma room, nine treatment spaces, CT and X-ray technology and pharmacy capabilities. Over 40 associates work at the new care site. The facility will be operated jointly by Sacred Heart Pensacola and Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart.
