Accessible Beach Paths & Mobi-Mats

Your path to exploring the beaches of Pensacola just got a little easier. Please note that due to the soft sand beaches, the mobi mats only extend approximately two-thirds of the way to the waterline. If you’re looking to make your way through the sand, beach wheelchair rentals can be found here.

Between Pensacola Beach Hilton and Holiday Inn Resort - Dune Walkover 23B – A sidewalk between two properties leads to this public dune walkover. There are no restrooms facilities at this site.

5East of Calle Hermosa — Dune Walkover 27

East of Calle Hermosa - Dune Walkover 27A – Located on Via de Luna just east of the main residential areas of the beach. There is an ADA compliant Port-o-let at this site as well as ramps to get up to the walkover itself.

6West of Portofino Island Resort — Dune Walkover 27B

West of Portofino Island Resort - Dune Walkover 27B – Located on Via de Luna just west of the entrance to Portofino Island Resort. There is an ADA compliant Port-o-let at this site as well as ramps to get up to the walkover itself.

7Dog Park East – Dune Walkover 28B

Dog Park East – Dune Walkover 28B – Located on Via de Luna, in the second parking lot east of Portofino. Leashed dogs are welcome in the park from sunrise to sunset, except during turtle season (May 1 – October 1) when the hours are 7 a.m. to sunset. There is an ADA compliant Port-o-let at this site as well as ramps to get up to the walkover itself.

8East of Portofino Island Resort — Dune Walkover 29A

East of Portofino Island Resort - Dune Walkover 29A – Located on Via de Luna just east of the entrance to Portofino Island Resort. There is an ADA compliant Port-o-let at this site as well as ramps to get up to the walkover itself.

9Park East – Dune Walkover 29B, 29C, 29D

Park East – Dune Walkover 29B, 29C, 29D – Located on CR399, before the entrance to Gulf Islands National Seashore Opal Beach area, Park East offers ample parking and three ADA compliant dune walkovers. ADA accessible restrooms are also on site as well as ramps to get up to the walkover itself. A lifeguard station is also present during the key summer season.
