In 2016, The First Tee of Northwest Florida purchased the 1.4-acre historic Goofy Golf property, which had been established in 1958, damaged by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, and closed in 2011. It has since been remodeled and re-opened as their Golf & Life Skills Training Facility. The mission of the non-profit organization is to positively impact the lives of young people by promoting character development and life-enhancing values through the First Tee’s “Life Skills Learning Experience” and the game of golf
