Perdido Key Discovery Trail

The Perdido Key Discovery Trail offers a short, immersive boardwalk through diverse barrier-island habitats, including salt marsh, wooded wetlands, and dune ecosystems. Keep an eye and an ear out for local wildlife, such as herons, woodpeckers, raccoons, otters, frogs, and snakes, as you explore. This 0.10-mile accessible loop is perfect for a quick nature break and takes about 15–20 minutes to complete. The trail loops back to Johnson Beach Road, with parking available across the street. Bikes are not permitted.
