French Boys Choir "Les Petits Chanteurs de France" to Perform in Pensacola
Tuesday, July 14, 2026 | 6:30 p.m. | Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Pensacola
Pensacola will welcome a touch of Paris this summer when Les Petits Chanteurs de France, the acclaimed French boys choir, performs at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Tuesday, July 14 — fittingly, France's own Bastille Day — at 6:30 p.m.
For ten years, these young globetrotters have sung their way across France and around the world. More than a choir, Les Petits Chanteurs de France offers boys a formative experience of music, travel, and community life. Their days are filled with concerts, television appearances, singing lessons, international tours, and participation in the liturgy. The choir regularly performs masterworks of the great repertoire — Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria — in prestigious venues, and lends its voice to humanitarian causes.
On their July 2026 tour of Florida and Alabama, the choir will present a program spanning the sixteenth century to the present day, including Handel's beloved "Hallelujah" chorus, Gounod's "Ave Maria," French folk melodies, and patriotic songs. Their latest CD will be available exclusively at the concert.
The ensemble features 14 passionate singers, ages 9 to 18, under the direction of conductor Véronique Thomassin-Olivier, accompanied by François Olivier, titular organist of the choir organ at the historic Church of Saint-Eustache in Paris.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear one of France's treasured boys choirs in the beautiful setting of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
