Granny Get-Down: A Cook-Off Celebration, hosted by Council on Aging of West Florida, is Saturday, May 23, 11 am – 2 pm at Sanders Beach Resource Center. Granny Get-Down is a cook-off and tasting event by AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteers. Attendees can sample an array of homestyle dishes, vote for favorites, and enjoy music, raffles, and live cooking demos. This event supports Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent volunteer programs and raises awareness of food insecurity and social isolation among seniors.
