Join us for The Great Backyard Bird Count
Wild Birds Unlimited and F.M Weston Audubon Society are partnering for the Great Backyard Bird Count at the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida!
The Great Backyard Bird Count is a global birding event powered by everyday nature-lovers like you!
We’ll take an easy, walk to spot and identify birds, then help you learn how to submit what you see to support real bird research.
This event is beginner-friendly (no experience needed!) and perfect for families, couples, friends, and anyone who loves birds.
Bring binoculars if you have them—limited loaners may be available.
Accessibility: The walk will use accessible paths, welcoming most birders with mobility needs.
💚 Sanctuary Support: This event is free to attend, and donations to the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida are encouraged and appreciated. Your gift helps care for the sanctuary’s habitat, supports rescue efforts, and provides medical care for injured wildlife.
What to bring: Comfortable shoes, water, binoculars, and your favorite flock!
