Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro
Susanna and Figaro are getting married! There’s just one problem—Figaro’s boss, the overbearing and womanizing Count Almaviva, is trying to delay their marriage in order to seduce Susanna himself. Luckily, Figaro has a few tricks up his sleeve, enlisting the help of his fiancée and the Countess to expose the Count’s philandering ways. Mozart and Da Ponte’s timeless comedy—based on Beaumarchais’s sequel to The Barber of Seville—contains some of opera’s most brilliant music…and plenty of laughs! Artistic Director Corey McKern directs this production featuring Sidney Outlaw and Nicole Heinen as the betrothed Figaro and Susanna. The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Cody Martin, Pensacola Opera's Music Director.
