Pensacola is home to several different parades throughout the year. Pensacola Mardi Gras, Grand Fiesta Parade, and Pensacola Christmas parades all take place in the heart of downtown Pensacola.

Parade Route

Below is the parade route that all 3 parades will follow in Downtown Pensacola. Be sure to arrive early to find parking and a good spot to view the parade.

Pensacola Christmas Parade

Pensacola Christmas Parade Road Closures

Street closures extend out to Tarragona and DeVilliers Streets, as well as Main Street. These are the same closures found during the Mardi Gras, Grand Fiesta, and MLK Day parades earlier this year.

Residents and visitors are reminded to follow all posted signage, as parking is prohibited on the parade route. Additionally, there will be no parking on:

Jefferson Street north of Main Street
Main Street between Reus and Jefferson Street
Reus Street between Main Street and Garden Street
Garden Street between Reus and Jefferson Street
Baylen Street between Main and Wright Street
Portions of Tarragona and Chase Street north of Garden Street
Vehicles will be towed if found on the parade route or the additional "no parking" zones at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

The Pensacola Christmas Parade takes place every December in Downtown Pensacola. Come get in the holiday jolly spirit and take in the magic of Christmas at the parade. One of the highlights of the Downtown Pensacola Christmas Parade is, of course, Santa's appearance. The jolly old man himself is usually the grand finale of the parade, riding in a festive sleigh and waving to the crowd. Children eagerly look forward to catching a glimpse of Santa and shouting their Christmas wishes. It truly is the most wonderful time of year!

Pensacola Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras in Pensacola takes place during the winter season, typically around February or March every year. Downtown Pensacola boasts two Mardi Gras Parades, the Illuminated Parade on Friday evening at 7 p.m. and the Grand Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday at 2 p.m. Fun tip: If you love the Mardi Gras floats, head to Spring street early to get a closer look! The street is closed, but be mindful that floats are being pulled in and out, so be on the lookout. Downtown parades typically last several hours, so pack your patience, get a good spot, and be ready to hurry up and wait. Being earlier in the parade route ensures seeing all the floats the quickest, versus towards the end, where you have to wait for them to make it through.

Grand Fiesta Parade

Grand Fiesta Parade

Experience sounds of high school marching bands and catch some beads. This cherished Fiesta event in Pensacola welcomes families to partake in the festivities. Alongside the numerous local krewes, you can also expect special appearances from the enigmatic DeLuna LXXII, adorned in a mask, alongside his queen and court. The next Grand Fiesta Parade this year takes place on Friday, May 29, 2026.
