SPHL Champions the Pensacola Ice Flyers

Looking for something fun to do in the fall, winter, or spring? An ideal night can be spent watching the local professional hockey team, the Pensacola Ice Flyers, face-off against their opponents at the Pensacola Bay Center. The 2013, 2014, and 2016 Southern Professional Hockey League President’s Cup Champions provide an entertaining, fast-paced, and family-friendly environment inside the Pensacola Bay Center.

Affectionately known as the Hangar, the Pensacola Bay Center is conveniently located just minutes from Downtown Pensacola and a short drive from Pensacola Beach.  During the excitement of the game, spectators may enjoy concessions, music, games, and other “on ice” entertainment.

"Maverick," the Ice Flyers’ mascot  — a 6'2" hockey-loving eagle — is sure to be somewhere in the stands giving out high-fives and hugs to fans of all ages. But look out, for when he disappears, it usually means that he is headed for the ice to lead the crowd in the YMCA or other silly dances.

Arrive early or stay late if you want to take advantage of the chance to hit the ice yourself with friends and family. Offered throughout the season, aside from game days, the Pensacola Bay Center opens up the rink to the public for fun on the ice. With skates available for rent and a viewing area for non-skaters, why not try it out?

Check the Ice Flyers’ schedule for specially themed games that provide an interesting twist of your game day experience.
