SPHL Champions the Pensacola Ice Flyers

When the weather gets cooler, an ideal night can be spent watching the local professional hockey team, the Pensacola Ice Flyers, face-off against their opponents at the Pensacola Bay Center.

Located in the heart of downtown Pensacola, grabbing some grub before the game or having drinks with friends afterwards couldn't be more convenient. During the excitement of the game, spectators may enjoy concessions, music, games, and other “on ice” entertainment. The Ice Flyer's mascot, "Maverick," a 6'2" hockey-loving, playful eagle is sure to be somewhere in the stands, giving out high fives and hugs to fans of all ages. But look out, for when he disappears, it usually means that he is headed for the ice to lead the crowd in the YMCA or other silly dances!

Arrive early or stay late if you want to take advantage of the chance to hit the ice yourself with friends and family. Offered throughout the season, aside from game days, the Pensacola Bay Center opens up the rink to the public for many days full of fun on the ice. With skates available for rent and a viewing area for non-skaters, why not try it out this winter?
