Historic Pensacola


Historic Pensacola Village is the museum operation of UWF Historic Trust, Êwhich is a direct support organization of the University of West Florida. The Village consists of twenty properties in the Pensacola National Register Historic District. Historic Pensacola Village includes these self guided museums: Museums of Commerce and Industry, Julee Panton Cottage, Manuel Barrios Cottage, and the McMillen House. Costumed guides take visitors through the Lavalle House, the Lear-Rocheblave House, the Dorr House and Old Christ Church. Living History programs are presented througout the week at the Lavalle Kitchen House. Tickets are purchased in the Tivoli High House Shop. The flagship museum of Historic Pensaocla Village is the T. T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum located at 330 S.Jefferson Street. This free museum has three floors of exhibit space highlighting the eclectic collection of Mr. Wentworth and the history of Pensacola. The newest addition to the complex is the Pensacola Children's Museum at 115 E. Zaragoza St. This museum houses two floors of interactive, hand's on exhibits.
