Pensacola, Florida – Visit Pensacola is excited to announce the launch of several destination information applications for visitors and locals to use including a new and improved mobile app, a stand-alone kiosk at the Pensacola International Airport, and new display boards in the Visitor Information Centers.
“Our goal at Visit Pensacola is to be destination experts and share The Way to Beach™ at different access points for the public,” President and CEO Darien Schaefer said. “The new applications allow us to share detailed area information for those looking to enjoy Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, and Perdido Key with the most up to date and personalized information as possible including lodging, things to do, events, attractions, activities, and more.”
The updated Visit Pensacola App is now available to install on your phone and can be added without downloading from an app store. To add, remove the existing Visit Pensacola app from your phone and visit the app URL to install. If prompted, allow the app to access your location to provide information about nearby attractions and events. The app is a pocket guide for Escambia County featuring deals, daily events, geolocation-based suggestions for dining and activities, maps, an itinerary builder, and more.
The Visit Pensacola Kiosk is a stand-alone destination information kiosk located on the first floor of the Pensacola International Airport. Users can build itineraries complete with events, activities, and more, and email to themselves. The kiosk also features robust content powered by VisitPensacola.com and a photobooth.
Between the Perdido Key and Pensacola Visitor Information Centers, eight life-size video display boards provide digital touchpoints with scannable QR codes for events, enrapturing video scenes, and produced videos that feature destination information. Also available in the visitor information centers are printed destination resources and a wealth of knowledge from on-hand tourism ambassadors.
