Honors include South’s Best Beach Towns and South’s Best Family Getaways and Pensacola Beach Ranks No. 11 on Tripadvisor’s Top 25 Beaches List in the U.S.

Pensacola, Fla. (March 17, 200) – This week, Pensacola, Fla., was named one of the South’s Best Beach Towns and South’s Best Family Getaways
according to Southern Living Magazine’s annual “The South’s Best” awards for 2022. The prestigious list is decided by readers, and Pensacola earned the No. 8 spot on the list of best beach towns and No. 6 on the list of best family getaways.

“Earning these recognitions from such prestigious publications speaks volumes to the gem that exists in our very own community,” Visit Pensacola Director of Marketing and Communications Nicole Stacey said. “Winning these awards reconfirms that Pensacola is The Way to Beach™ and reminds residents and visitors alike of the unique areas and activities America’s first settlement has to offer.”

In addition to the destination’s picturesque white sand beaches and stunning emerald waters, Pensacola received recognition for its thriving food scene, rich history and family-friendly offerings. The announcement follows last year’s new brand campaign, The Way to Beach™, highlighting the culinary, cultural, and arts offerings that make Pensacola unique.

Pensacola Beach was also recently named one of the Top 25 Beaches - United States
according to Tripadvisor’s 2022 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best, another prestigious list celebrating the U.S.’ top coastal offerings according to travelers. Travelers remarked on the “glorious white sands, clear warm water, wonderful views, ease of parking” and miles of beach that make Pensacola Beach an idyllic getaway.
