Pensacola, Fla. – To celebrate National Beach Day on August 30, Visit Pensacola is launching a photo contest. Beginning today through Sunday, Aug. 25, Visit Pensacola is inviting locals and visitors to submit still photos of the beaches of Escambia County. Visit Pensacola will select 10 winners to receive a swag bag that features a limited edition insulated backpack cooler among other swag items. Winners will also receive recognition with credit on its social media channels that have a collective following of over 440,000 and be featured on VisitPensacola.com, a website that has already received over 3 million visits this calendar year, along with other owned channels.

“As we mark National Beach Day, it’s a great time to showcase our destination’s greatest asset, and who better to do that than the people who experience it throughout the year,” President and CEO Darien Schaefer said. “This photo contest is about capturing the essence of why Pensacola is The Way to Beach™ and is a fun opportunity to showcase unique perspectives. We’re excited to see the creativity in these photos and look forward to sharing them with our community."

To enter the contest, Visit Pensacola has designed a portal for easy uploading. Visit Pensacola is looking for a variety of photo submissions that include different times of day, the beautiful white quartz sand, and emerald-green water the area is known for. All skill levels are welcomed. Submissions must be owned and original, not made with artificial intelligence, and be of a beach located in Escambia County. This may include but is not limited to beaches on Pensacola Beach, Perdido Key, and the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Winners will be chosen based on clarity, creativity, and ability to follow contest rules.
