Visit Pensacola Set to Celebrate the Future of Travel During Annual National Travel & Tourism Week May 1-7

Visit Pensacola Set to Celebrate the Future of Travel During Annual National Travel & Tourism Week

Pensacola, Fla. – National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), the annual celebration of the contributions of the U.S. travel industry, will spotlight the critical role that travel will play in driving economic growth and building the path forward through the theme Future of Travel.

This year’s celebration will highlight industry workers and businesses that have gone above and beyond in the industry and the Pensacola Bay area community, along with sharing the impacts of tourism in Escambia County.

“We’ve had a strong year as a destination despite the lingering effects from the pandemic, staffing shortages, inflation, and now a global conflict,” President and CEO Darien Schaefer said. “This week especially is a time to celebrate the local hospitality and tourism industry along with the impacts of tourism. I’m looking forward to sharing in that and sharing an outlook on the future of travel in our strategic planning initiative, ReVisit Pensacola.”

To celebrate hospitality and tourism workers, Visit Pensacola would like to invite the community and the industry to nominate a Hospitality Hero and to attend the following events throughout the week to celebrate.
