Pensacola Beach Morning

9:00 AM: Start your day with your furry friend and head over to Pensacola Beach. It’s the perfect spot to start your day, as there are two dog friendly beaches to enjoy. One is located down Fort Pickens Road, and the other one is further down Via De Luna to the east. Early morning visits are great, offering cooler sand for paws and a nice peaceful atmosphere.

Pro Tip: you might even want to make it out for a beach sunrise! Be sure and bring water, waste bags, and a towel so you can relax and enjoy your morning at the beach.

Don’t forget for everyone’s safety: when you’re on these dog beaches, your dog must be on a leash and have proper tags on their leash or collar, and you must clean up after them.

Downtown Brunch

11:00 AM: After your beach trip, head to one of these dog friendly patio restaurants for some coffee and food! With outdoor seating, warm weather, and even water bowls at spots like The Dog House, downtown is the perfect place to enjoy good food.

After you’re done, take your dog for a stroll down Palafox with your furry friend. Downtown Pensacola is extremely walkable and even features the America’s First Settlement Trail, and along the way you'll find historic stops, shops, and snacks!

Nature Walk

2:00 PM: Once you’ve eaten, take your dog on a walk!

For those of you with dogs who like to socialize, take them to Bayview Park to play with other dogs. If you’re looking to go on a nature walk, options like Big Lagoon State Park, which features an observation tower and long walking paths, and Edward Ball Nature Trail at UWF, which has lots of trees and boardwalks, are perfect spots.

Sunset Dinner

5:00 PM: End your day with an orange and pink beach sunset on sugar-white sand beaches at Pensacola Beach Dog Park East.

Once you’re done, head on over to Shaggy’s Pensacola Beach for a waterfront dinner on Little Sabine, with good food, an extensive craft beer list, fun cocktails, and an island-style atmosphere for you and your dog!
