Pensacola is a hidden secret if you want to scuba dive in the northwest Florida panhandle. We hear it all the time, "I didn't realize the diving was so good in Pensacola!". Let us tell you a little secret; it is so good!
Pensacola, Perdido Key, and the surrounding areas are part of the Emerald Coast, which gives us access to the warm, clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico. On average, visibility is generally around 80 but can change from 30 to 150 feet depending on rainfall.
Average water temperatures are 75-80 and lower 60s in winter. In warm summer, divers usually wear board shorts or light skin wear. Most of the year, a three mil suit is suitable. Depending on how cold you get underwater, a 5 or 7 mil suit will get you through the dives in the winter. We have many dive sites for you to experience, including wrecks, natural bottoms, and artificial reefs. The depths of our dive locations vary from 50 feet of water to technical diving levels below 200 feet. We have many dive sites in each depth range to accommodate all certification and comfort levels.
