Why Attend Summer Safe Pensacola 2026?
At Summer Safe Pensacola, we believe that knowledge is power. Our goal is to equip attendees with the necessary skills and information to become proactive bystanders and potentially save lives. With our four main event keywords - Bystanders save lives, Hands-only CPR, Stop the Bleed, and Water Safety - we've designed a comprehensive program that covers all aspects of summer safety.
Here's a sneak peek at what you can expect from this year's event:
Bystanders save lives
In emergency situations, bystanders are often the first responders. But do you know what to do in an emergency? Our expert speakers will guide you through the steps to take when faced with a medical emergency, from calling 911 to administering first aid. You'll also learn about the Good Samaritan law and how it protects those who act in good faith to help others in need.
Hands-only CPR
CPR is a vital skill that can make all the difference in saving someone's life. But many people are intimidated by the thought of performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. That's why we'll be focusing on hands-only CPR, a simplified technique that can be just as effective in providing oxygen to the brain and vital organs. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice this life-saving skill with our trained professionals.
Stop the Bleed
Uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death in trauma cases. That's why it's crucial to know how to stop bleeding in an emergency. Our experts will demonstrate the proper techniques for applying pressure and using tourniquets to control bleeding. You'll also learn about different types of wounds and how to treat them effectively.
Water Safety
Pensacola is known for its beautiful beaches and water activities, but it's important to be aware of potential risks. Our water safety session will cover topics such as identifying rip currents, preventing drowning, and what to do in case of a water-related emergency. We'll also have a live demonstration of water rescue techniques by our trained lifeguards.
