The waves roll along the shoreline while the sun sets in the distance, the sweet ocean breeze mingles with the sounds of laughter and enjoyment, and strangers become friends as corks are popped. The 6th annual Perdido Key Wine & Art Festival April 2-5 is set to bring people together to share bottles of wine and create memories that will last a lifetime. Unlike other wine festivals, this one will take your taste buds on an unforgettable journey as you lose yourself on the sugar-white sand of pristine, sublime Perdido Key. It’s your chance to relax and explore exotic wines from around the world, all from our little slice of heaven. Throughout the festival, wine specialists will enrich your knowledge and love of wine. Your journey will take you on a tour of flavors through the United States, across the pond to Europe, and down into South America. And along the way you’ll experience some of the best art, food and music the Gulf Coast has to offer. The Perdido Key Wine & Art Festival begins with “Taste of Perdido” Thursday evening, April 2nd, when you’ll taste premier wines paired with signature dishes from local restaurants, complemented by the smooth music of acclaimed local jazz guitarist Pat McCann and the unique glass mosaic art of Connie Blum. Starting Friday, the quaint shops of Villagio will host wine tastings and wine sales, along with local artisans and musicians featuring their work from 2 to 6 p.m. Throughout the weekend there will be various events and tastings perfect for every wine lover. Tickets are on sale now starting at $15. For more information and a complete festival schedule, visit
