Adult/Teen Workshop: Bee-ing & Bee-coming Insect: Playful Connections with the Urban Wild

Playful Connections with the Urban Wild. Slow down and connect with the vibrant world of insects right outside the museum's doors.

This immersive workshop bridges science and art, inviting you out of the urban hustle and into the lives of our miniature, more-than-human neighbors. Through a unique blend of close observation, creative expression, sensory meditation, and on-site research, we will practice shedding our human scale, “getting small,” and relating more deeply to the surrounding landscape.
This workshop is designed for teenagers and adults who love to explore, use their imagination, and focus on hidden details through rich sensory experiences.
No prior background in art or ecology is necessary! You will leave this workshop with a fresh perspective on urban ecosystems.

Pre-registration is required, ideally 24 hours in advance.
Only $15 to register! All supplies are included. Attendees will each receive a sketchbook to take home with them after the workshop.
