Memorial Day at the Park - United in Remembrance
Memorial Day is a sacred time for our nation - a moment to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States of America. At Veterans Memorial Park, this day carries even deeper meaning as we gather among the monuments that stand as lasting tributes to their courage, dedication, and love of country.
On Sunday, May 24t at 1:00pm, our community is invited to come together for a heartfelt Memorial Day observance. This event is not only a time of remembrance, but also a powerful opportunity to unite as a community - military families, veterans, civic leaders, and citizens standing side by side in gratitude and respect.
The program will feature:
• Patriotic reflections and a guest speaker – Robert Martin Patterson US Army and a recipient of the Medal of Honor, for his actions in the Vietnam War
• Musical tributes honoring our fallen heroes
• Moments of silence and ceremonial recognition
• Community fellowship in a meaningful and inspiring setting.
We gather to ensure that the sacrifices of our fallen heroes are never forgotten. Their legacy lives on through our remembrance, our gratitude, and our commitment to the freedoms they provided to each of us.
The event welcomes all individuals, families, organizations, and local leaders to participate. Whether attending, volunteering, or simply standing in unity, your presence helps keep the spirit of remembrance alive. Together, we honor the past while strengthening the bonds of our community.
Join us as we stand United in Remembrance, honoring those who gave everything foe our nation.
