Core Tournament Structure

The tournament is built around one primary competition and two bracket‑based side competitions. Only one prize per entry.

1. Primary Competition: Single Fish - Heaviest Weight (Cash Prize)

• How it works:
  Each angler’s heaviest weight from a single fish determines their standing.

• Winner:

• 1st Place – Heaviest Weight Overall 60% of Prize Money

• 2nd Place – 2nd heaviest Weight Overall, 25% of Prize Money

• 3rd Place – 2nd heaviest Weight Overall, 15% of Prize Money

2. Men’s Bracket:

·       1st Place $100 Market Gift Card

·       2nd Place Steve’s Farm Merch

3. Women’s Bracket: 

·       1st Place $100 Market Gift Card

·       2nd Place Steve’s Farm Merch

Entry & Check‑In

• Pre‑registration encouraged; same‑day registration allowed if space permits. Discounted rate for pre-registration

• Only one prize per entry.

• 1st, 2nd, 3rd place for Heaviest Fish overall will win CASH prizes. Top competitors for sub brackets in Men’s and Women’s will win gift card or logoed merchandise, depending on placement. Participants cannot win in the sub bracket and the heaviest overall.

• Gear rules: Rod and reel only. No netting or snagging.

Fishing Rules

• Tournament hours: 7 am until 2 pm

• Boundaries: two ponds will be used only. These ponds will be closed to other anglers. Ponds will be marked for competition.

• Catch method: rod and reel only; no nets, traps, or snagging.

• Fish handling: live or freshly caught only; no previously caught fish.

• Eligible ponds are 2B & 2C

• Prizes for tagged fish are suspended for the event.

• Each individual can only be awarded one place/trophy.

• This is a catch & release event, but any of the catch may be kept for purchase.

• No handing off fish.

• 2 rod limit per entrant, 1 hook per rod

• All types of cut bait allowed, except for catfish.

• Live bait: only bluegills & shiners allowed

• No catfish allowed as bait

• Be polite: Clear the area for others working a fish.

• For the first hour or so, we’ll weigh any fish over 24 inches long. As we get some big fish on the leaderboard, that length will increase at which we’ll weigh the fish.

• When you have a fish large enough to weigh, make your way to the weigh station.

• All vehicles subject to inspection at checkout.

• $55 entrance day of, $50 pre-registration

• 40% payout (1st place takes 60% of the payout, 2nd place takes 25% of the payout, and 3rd place takes 15% of the payout)
